Do any of you guys run a bullet feeder with your Dillon progressive , if so how does it do with traditionaly lubed cast bullets ? was wondering if the tubes get gummed up with the lube .Was thinking about trying one of these www.doublealpha.biz/us/mini-mr-bulletfeederkooz

I have two feeders for both 650’s I run. I have not tried bare lead bullets in mine and I’m not sure I will. Plated bullets take a bit of damage tumbling in there sometimes. Depending on brand. Lead would likely take just as much but leave deposits here and there. It’s just not something I want to have to clean too. Also! The feeders seem to have issues correctly orienting anything in the wide-ish nose category.

Are you talking about using a collator or the " mini bulletfeeder" ? Two completley different systems.

That's what I thought. Using lubed , lead boolits in that collator could get shall we say " gummy " after a while..
BUT,the " mini " MIGHT be an option. I put an email into the company that manufactures the Mini about using lead semi wad-cutters in the mini for .45 ACP.
Haven't heard back yet, but if they say it's good to go, I'll be getting one of these with an extra magazine for my Dillon 550.
I'll let y'all know what find out -

Hey everybody, I just got off the phone with a Tech at mr. Bullet feeder, and indeed you can use cast bullets. He said depending on the lube you might be cleaning the magazine every 3 400 rounds. He suggested using alcohol to clean. So I figure a bore mop on a cleaning rod would be perfect for that. Also, on a 4-hole press like a 550 you need to buy a proprietary seat /crimp die that Lee makes for them. Alpha sells them and they will give you a break on the die if you purchase the mini bullet feeder. He said they were under thirty bucks.
They also make the mini for rifle calibers .223,.308,and 6.5
Hope this helps. Good luck

Haha, looks like everybody on this forum except for a handful of people are being sponsored by Olin,General Dynamics, etc. Good for you.
More likely, you're running a single stage.
