I really hate to part with it but I have come to realize the 480 is my upper limit for recoil tolerance and I need to start thinning the herd some.

Beautiful. I'm in the same boat though, the 480 is approaching my max.

A 500L tossing a 400-465gr bullet at 900 -1100fps is an awesome, fun shooting gun. Nobody says you gotta go whole hog every time you pull the trigger. That said, if you’ve already got the 480 and culling the herd is just logical, by all means go for it. I’m doing the same thing regarding rifles.

I was at the range last R&R and shooting some 440 grain loads with Trailboss and not having as much fun shooting them as I used to. Thought it might be time to move it along to someone else who will enjoy it.

I kinda came to that realization some time ago for myself. If a person can accurately and quickly shoot it with a 400 + gr bullet@ 1400 + fps . It's a bear thumper for sure. If you lived on Chichagof or some place similar, you would have greater impetus to handle the recoil. Nice berry picking / crik fishing companion.

What material are the stocks made of, also, what is the Linebaugh build number on the front of the receiver? Thanks, Kelye

Thanks for all the interest but I got sellers remorse. I spent a lot of years wanting a Linebaugh gun and decided I'll keep mine a while longer. The closer I got to the closing bell on the auction the colder my feet were getting and since there were no bids I ended the listing. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up but I really had a hard time thinking about letting it go yet.

I regret every Linebaugh I've sold.
