Ok... Some dope from yesterday
Conditions... Sunny, 36°, 25 mph winds from the north... We were shooting off a small portable bench, with a pistol rest, and at a target visible through the chronograph screens... All loads need to be shot at higher temps and humidity during the summer to insure complete safety
Gun was a new BFR 500 JRH, with a 5.5 inch barrel... As I already have a custom 5 shot Super Blackhawk, in 50 AE, all these loads will be in the uncomfortable top end of loadings, do not duplicate, without working up to these levels, and I recommend not loading the AA #7 loads without more trial work from me 1st...
All loads used new 500 JRH Starline cases. Matt's 440 grain WFNGC bullets, and CCI - 350 primers... All loads were hand scaled on an RCBS beam scale, and were shot in 5 shot groups all groups recorded at 25 yards, groups while noted, were not recorded, velocities were main concern here...
AA#7... 20 grains... 1159 fps average... extreme spread... 18 fps... Notes... Less report, and recoil, group was 4" high of point of aim, with rear sight all the way down, cases cleanest of the group, easy extraction... No pressure signs
AA#9... 26 grains 1282 fps average... extreme spread... 30 fps... Notes... Deeper report than the H-110, but similar recoil... Note higher average velocity than H-110, with 2 grains less powder... Groups 6" high at point of aim... Easy case extraction... No pressure signs... One 5 shot group included 3 into one ragged hole
H-110... 28 grains... Average Velocity... 1277 fps... Extreme Spread... 71 fps... Note lower velocity, and higher extreme spread... Highest velocity recorded of 1312 fps, but also one at 1241 fps... Groups were recorded 6 inches higher than point of aim, and include 3 shots into 1 ragged hole,

A couple comments to add... I did hear from Accurate Powders today... the reply below...
... & I need to send my revolver in to Magnum Research for a replacement grip... & they said they will put the Black Micarta grips on it as a warranty replacement... I also asked about a taller sight... they have 4 & show that in the manual... I didn't measure mine, but need to do that for a sight from Fermin anyway... so they may replace the factory sight with a taller one if I don't already have the tallest one on the gun yet...

If you ordered a 5.5" barrel from them, I'm willing to bet you already have the tallest sight available from their factory. The next step is to get Fermin's sight and just be set.
I'm surprised you're impacting so high at the faster speeds, once I got into the 1150-1200 FPS range I was hitting POI and was able to have some sight adjustment.

magnumwheelman.... with rear sight at BOTTOM DETENT, with POI (Point of Impact) 6” high @ ? (distance), use this formula to determine elevation correction:
All Measurements in Inches sight radius x offset divided by distance to target = elevation correction.
Example * sight radius----7.25” * POA/POI offset----6” * distance to target----900” (25 yards)
7.25” x 6” = 43.5” 43.5” divided by 900” =.048” (To lower POI 6” @ 25 yds, increase front sight height .048”.)

And it does turn out I have the tall sight... But they measure to the bottom of the sight, then radius it to match the barrel, so while the measurement is .65, the tip of the sight is not .65 higher than the highest point of the barrel
