www.custombfrrevolver.com/custom-bfr-revolver/configure/8/this is interesting to play with... it's just too cool to resist... you can get case colored stainless gun & grip frame, as well as trigger & hammer, all or individually, custom barrel lengths ( unfortunately the picture doesn't show the shorter barrels ) but round, fluted or octagon... fluted, penta, & round cylinders in blackened, or stainless... plow handle or Bisley grips in black or white... dang website has me looking at building a $2,400.00 custom... good thing Christmas is coming see if this works... mine built in 45-70 ( barrel is long in the picture but custom 5.5" barrel selected ) nope, sorry, I can't show you my build, but black bisley long black fluted cylinder, case colored hammer & trigger, 5.5" round 45-70 barrel... I'm drooling just thinking about it... ( still wrestling with the caliber... this would make an awesome companion gun to my stainless 45-70 Guide Gun ) could order an extra cylinder in any of the 45 caliber offerings, though I kept telling myself I wanted one in 375 Winchester... it holds more practicality for me in 45-70

Waiting on my latest BFR from the Precision Center. I ordered a 454 with 4 5/8's barrel, mag porting and Black micarta's. Ordered it the following Monday after Shot Show. Talking to Brett at the show was not good for my marriage. I really need to unload a couple 454's to somehow justify this one. The BFR's are slowly kicking my other single actions to the back of the safe.

I've been try to be patient and wait for a production short barreled 500 Linebaugh.
Would someone tell me the actual cost difference between a production gun and a custom with the same features but all the custom shop precision fitting.
PM me if you do not fee comfortable discussing cost in an open forum.
Thanks

[quote author=" eagle1899" source="/post/303724/ Would someone tell me the actual cost difference between a production gun and a custom with the same features but all the custom shop precision fitting. Eagle, I plugged my production Bisley 6 1/2" .454 BFR into the configure page and a Precision Center version would cost $600 more than I paid for mine a year ago.

I just plugged in a build, no special options and came in at $2,040 total. That's close to $1K more than a 500JRH Bisley on Gunbroker.
Am I doing something wrong?

I wish they would do one in .41 mag and I emailed back and forth with MRI and they said they were going to work on doing one and were sourcing barrels. Very neat link!

I wish you could do some super mags in a medium length cylinder. I will say though, now that I found out they will chamber a 375 win. That changes things

Just revisited this site for a 2020 build... ( BTW I found a nice short barrel Bisley 500 JRH on Gun Broker for 2019 ) but thinking a 375 Winchester Nitride black everything, on a long black fluted cylinder, with a 5.5 - 6" barrel... going back & forth between a hex or round barrel... white Bisley grip... hmmm maybe a standard 7.5" Hex in black nitride... lotta powder to burn in a 375 Winchester trouble is I start clicking on the case colored frame... & next thing I'm thinking all case color except a black hex barrel & fluted cylinder... but that shoots the price up at least another $500.00 just in case you haven't played lately... www.custombfrrevolver.com/custom-bfr-revolver/configure/8/BTW... I called the custom shop today, & yes you can get shorter Hex barrels, & get them black Nitride if you want, & they will also Black Nitride the fluted cylinders... & they don't have the new hammers on the site yet, but they are available from the custom shop... oh, & lead time right now is 4-5 months for the build...
