It didn't look like there was ANY turn line on the cylinder. Had you shot this gun at all Mike? It looks just like I imagine it looked when it left John's shop!

I'm guessing Linebaugh shot it more than I ever did when he sighted it in! I know I took it out once to verify that the sights were on, maybe 25 rounds or so. I bet you shot it more than that yesterday. Had 4 .500s here so I had to spread the love around a bit. Glad it will get some regular use now. Don't know if I mentioned, but it has a longer ejector rod for full extraction, also Roy told me he used french walnut for the grips. Always thought about sending the hammer out to Turnbull for some coloring, just never got around to it.

If I could find a milder everyday load for that gun that would hit to the sights I’d never let it leave my safe. Marvelous gun

Gees Bill what would a guy need a mild load for if the gun never left your safe?😀 Sorry Bill I couldn’t help myself!

Our guns are nearly a set, minus the CCH frame, hammer, and trigger, and Dustin stocks on a round butted grip frame. Built by John, later sent to Dustin for stocks, grip frame work, and to shorten the barrel. Those Fishpaw stocks on the modified grip frame look perfect. I'd love a few different height front sights, but it's not worth sending the gun off for two years for John or Dustin to make them. I think we should pressure Fermin into making us a few!

Beautiful gun! Is it regulated for "the" HS-6 load? I've got it written down somewhere....Zeus knows it too...many must, it is no secret.

I miss it already! I have that same feeling every time I let one go. But, it just doesn’t work out, trying to keep ‘em all! That’s a really sharp looking example! Love the grips! Tim

there is something about a bisley vaquero with a gigantic unfluted cylinder that just looks soooo cool

Glad you are already burning powder Robb! I may need to call and find out how these things work again, it’s been a while. Ha I have had quite a few Vaquero 475 and 500s over the years. They are really neat guns for someone like me that doesn’t shoot a lot of different loads. Heck, these days I am lucky to shoot anything at all. Hahaha. Hard to beat a Vaquero from the Linebaugh family! Only one I have left I think these days is a 500 from DL.

Wait till you get old like some of us and you can't see the sights!
Although Dustin's sight insert helps a ton!
