Good evening all,
Does anyone have a line on where I might procure some .434 cast bullets? Although I have my preferences of type, I cannot afford to be picky given the rarity of this size bullet. I appreciate any leads any of you are able to provide.

MP molds run quite a few molds of that diameter...... I know as they're my designs. 2 Dogs would probably have a good lead on who might furnish bullets and you have the mold manufacturer.

I've done some digging and the largest commercial sized I could find was Montana Bullet works and they come in at .433 - www.montanabulletworks.comI tried searching a couple other websites and different sources that I normally follow up on and I wasn't able to find anything else. There are a few molds available that will cast to .434, but I see that you don't cast you're own. So those are out of the scope of the question.

You might email info@reedsammo.com or the website www.reedsammo.com/They say they will do custom work. I've used their .455 Webley bullets that are very soft. liked em. Prescut

Ok, curious as to gun needing this dia.? I have a 3rd gen Colt SA .44 Special whose chambers require the over-sized bullet. I've searched as many commercial suppliers I can locate and have come up dry, as some of you have said. Eventually I'll solve this problem by casting my own; such a time may quickly be upon us if I am unable to shoot the pistol for lack of bullets.

When the time comes to cast your own, NOE (Night Owl Enterprises) also offers excellent quality molds in sizes up to .434". I have one that I bought to use in a Winchester 94 in .44 Mag; Winchester thoughtfully supplies them with a .432" groove diameter barrel (per SAAMI spec for rifles).

The only thing I know is that Dardas Cast Bullets used to make a .433 SWC. Unfortunately they have since closed down. That was the only commercial cast bullet I could get to shoot in my Rossi 92 44 mag that has a .432 groove diameter. That gun is what started me casting my own bullets. I bought a NOE 265 gr ranch dog mold that made beautiful .434 bullets I could size down to .433. Gas checked I could push them as fast as I wanted.

Had a thought last eve at work. The leverguns generally run larger of bore and check with folks over on the Levergun site forum ? Then the name Ranch Dog popped into my head. A cast larger, for leverguns bullet. Don't know if they are still around ? Luck.

I would suggest a visit to Cast Boolit site. There in the Swapping and Selling section you can post a WTB or go to the Bullet Exchange. I can 100% assure you someone will have or make some bullets for you. Those are some great guys over there. Cholla

IIRC< they were originally designed for Marlin rifles with Micro-Groove rifling, which typically need a larger than standard diameter bullet to shoot well.
