I think I have a short 6.5CM from Ruger. If I remember right it’s possibky a stainless internation stock rifle? I’ll have to look next time I am in that safe. I vaguely remember picking one up though... They did recently make a RSI (full mannlicher stock) in 6.5CM as well as 260. Believe they're either 18 or 18.5" barrels.

It says it’s a M77 RSI stainless 6.5 CM. Should be a sweet little rifle!

I had no idea. That would make an awesome Gentleman's Rifle Reminiscent of the 256 Manlicher. Only much more better.

I have one of the earlier runs in 308 with a tang safety. Unfortunately I've missed a couple deals on other tangs due to limited funds at the time. I would love to pick up some others, even with the three position just to have them as it's by far my favorite rifle in my safe.
All the RSI's carry a premium unfortunately.
But I can say they're great woods guns and even tho they have the full length stock, with a Leupold 2-7x32 and 3 rounds chambered, mine comes in under 7.25 lbs.

That’s funny, Zeus!!.....it reminds me the time I found a brand new Benelli Shotgun still in its case, under one of our spare beds. I couldn’t remember where it had come from. It turns out it was one of the M2’s Benelli gave us for being sponsored shooters for them, I’d lost track of it as I really just kept shooting my first one.
Losing track of guns from non use, and finding them again is almost as much fun as buying them in the first place.

I think they're usually Lipseys runs, about 250 per run, but I can't find them on their website either. I usually search GunBroker for them, "Ruger RSI", "Ruger Mannlicher", "Ruger International" since there's not a consistent listing name. Unfortunately, I don't see any 6.5's right now for sale.

Back awhile Jim Carmichael liked the 260 Rem. and owned a Remington Model 7 CS Mannlicher in 260... Saw one in a gun store in .308 and bought it because the laminate walnut stock was so pretty. However, at the range this 20" carbine was a little too much for me in .308 so I had Remington re-barrel to .260... That turned it to a almost perfect rifle for me.. She shoots the 140gr Core-Lokts the best... I also bought a black plastic stock from Rem. for hunting so I could keep that laminate walnut from getting beat up.. The rifle is listed on Remington`s web page for $2995.00 and only comes in .222 - .223 and .350 Rem Mag... A great little rifle and caliber....I did not pay that much when I bought...

I’ve always liked mannlicher stocked rifles, growing up in Europe I got see some used by hunters in driven hunts. I had a 338-06 built last year in a gray laminated stock, it really looks nice. 210 partitions are all it’ll ever be fed, and probably ever need.

I have always liked those Model 7 CS Mannlichers as well James, I’ve seen a couple used in .308 and held out for something smaller.

I've always wanted to pick up one of the Model 7 Mannlichers, but I've never come across one in person other than the one my buddy bought for his father in 350 Rem Mag or found one at a reasonable price.
My M77 RSI in 308 is a handful from the bench. I much prefer shooting my Vanguard 300 Win Mag or 700 Classic 300 Weatherby. I'm only slinging 150 accubonds at modest speeds too, not like I'm trying to get the most speed possible out of it!
I've been on the hunt for one of the M77 RSI's in 243 with the tang as a partner to this gun so I can have something a little more enjoyable, but does it really matter? I never know the difference on an animal.

Some will go ballistic about this , But. The beauty of the 6.5 Creedmoor is it kicks like a 243 but kills like a 270 or 06. The 120 gr bullet is great for general all around.
