Anyone got a redhawk for sale? I might have. I have a 4 inch 45 Colt. Might be talked out of it.

As someone highly qualified to ask ignorant questions, what is the GP suffix that adds five hundred to the conversion?

As someone highly qualified to ask ignorant questions, what is the GP suffix that adds five hundred to the conversion? Removes the frame/barrel extension of the Super Redhawk like the one below. Best to start with the Alaskan models to avoid issues with scope mounting frame cutouts

So, can they be done on a redhawk or does it have to be a superredhawk? It can be done on both. To use the super redhawk costs more because they have to remove the barrel shroud from the front of the frame, but you end up with a gun that is more amenable to tuning due to the different lockwork designs. I personally like the look of the Redhawk version better but wouldn't mind one of each.

I’d be trying to get a set of the factory grips from the half lug 44 Special GP100.

Long barreled 45 on the way here. First time I ever saw one of these Anaconda Redhawks it was Tom Casselmans, he was selling a BUNCH of beautiful revolvers. Like the 28/44/45, this'll be fun.

Hard to find good looking Super grips...... I’d be trying to get a set of the factory grips from the half lug 44 Special GP100. It's not hard to put wood on them. You can put any of the original GP100 grips on them too.

Bushog Tom Casselman had some of the most beautiful revolvers built. I ended up with the 38 single six that's my prettiest gun, Alan Harton did it. He sold a Redhawk/Anaconda to someone for more than what Hamilton is charging as at the time there wasn't a pile of barrels somewhere. I also got a 327 SS blue Bisley from him but sold it, I couldn't warm up to the Bisley single six look. Now Alan doesn't work on Rugers and Axe swindled me into two Reeder 22's. The 38/44/45 is the one that Mr. Fishpaw made the grips for, still looking for the cylinder....
If anyone else ended up with one of Tom's guns please chime in.
Paden thank you for that tip.

This is one of Tom's Redhawks in .480. This is the one I want back as there will be no more big re-bores..... He did have a 6" .45 Redhawk with an Anaconda barrel too. I also bought his Dustin .475 SS bisley and a fixed sight Harton .327 bisley SS that I sold to you.... Then I ran out of $$....
