Groo here I think I just found the Double action "Perfect Packing Pistol" Just picked up a Ruger GP100 10mm 3inch WC..... Not too big, not too heavy, still Starts with a 4 , moon clip loaded and 6 shot. Does not require to be down loaded [like my 2 3/4 m-69 44mag] or run at full power like my 357mag. A good fit with my single action PPP [my 3 3/4 in fixed sight New Vaquero 41mag] Like the story says,,, Not to Big,, Not to Small,,, Just Right!!!!!!!!!!!!

+1 on "Does not require to be down loaded" The thickness of the forcing cone was a welcome sight

An AR case might be nice for revolver specific loads and boolets, but everything just works. Keith and the Boys would be proud........

Groo here My m-69 2 3/4 in is a beast with 240gr 44 mag loads, even with "goodyear" grips on it. Makes a good 44 spec with 44 mag "just in case" The 10 mm is an easy shooter with most any factory load in a similar size gun. I require my "All the time" guns to be able to shoot most any factory load I might find ,and me to shoot it with one hand... Thought the m69 might work, don"t have a similar 41mag so next on the list is a 10mm. I have always shot revolvers better and after a few classes using 45acp and moon clips ,,,I can reload as fast as my auto, shoot as fast [ with .40+ shells] and just feel better.

Really anxious to see how this new revolver works for you. I'm very interested in the 10mm in the configuration of the WC edition. Please keep us posted!

Groo here Ruger DA revolvers normally don't put the bolt notch right over the chamber like S&W with even number chambers. Although it is a small difference , at magnum pressures, the small things matter... This is also why putting a 41mag in the GP 100 [6shot] is tuff. The cylinder is just a little to small around to fit the rims and the case a little big to allow enough steel for comfort.

Here is a look at the cylinders of the 10mm and 44 Special. Note the cylinder wall thickness and the ratchets. 10mm44 Special

I have a couple of the 5” 10mms in stock. Very nice sixguns! I like the balance of them. Thought seriously about keeping one for myself. Haha
