need a good reduced load for my 30/06 and hornady short jackets, just for plinking and jackrabbits.

If you are going to be shooting light loads, you may have to enlarge the flash hole in the case to prevent the primer force from setting the shoulder back and causing your cases to have short headspace. It's easily done, but then make sure to keep those cases separated nd don't use them for full power loads....

i went with 45.0gr with 4831 imr powder just need to go shoot when the weather permits

i've got three hornady manuals and you can see what a short jacket is, just looking for a load that some of the older gentlemen have used in the past, had to find my old hodgdons manual
