I am considering purchasing a FA model 97, probably a 5 1/2 inch. Not sure on caliber yet, probably a -327 or .357. Are there any Colorado dealers who might have a model 97 in stock so I can actually handle one? I’ve seen a few on-line but before I buy sight unseen I’d at least like to see how the model 97 fits my hand.

Go to Freedom Arm's website. They list their dealers by state. At least they did so in the past. Otherwise give them a call.

I think Gunsport in Boulder is a dealer, they normally have at least a few new FAs under the counter to drool on. The Gun Room in Lakewood has stocked them off and on a few times but I would sure call before a ran over there. After that I would check with FA for dealers who might stock them, lots of them can order them for you but not stock them.
Where in Colorado are you at?

I really want to handle a 97. I’ll have to try the suggested places.

You might call Rampart firearms in Sedalia, when you walk in there it is t a very impressive shop but ask for specific guns and he goes back and digs in the safe and comes out with just about anything. But you have to ask.
I really like the 97s, I really want one but the only FA I have is a 83 in 475 linebaugh. I’m just up in Littleton but I can’t be of help at this point.

If anyone is interested Gun Room in Lakewood had a nice selection of 97s and Gunsport in Boulder had a few. I wanted to handle one in person because some have complained that the grip is too small. I like the Bisley grip frame on my Single Seven and Single Six .32 so I thought the 97 would be OK. After handling one at the Gun rRom I decided a 97 would be fine for me. I like the smaller frame size. I picked up a LNIB 5 1/2 inch 97 in .357 from Gunbroker for $1,528 and it came with an FA holster too. I don’t think it has ever been fired outside the factory. Just picked it up from my FFL yesterday, can’t wait to get it to the range.
I seriously considered a .44 special but I have a Ruger Fllattop Bisley 5 1/2 inch stainless .44 special on the way so decided to go .357.

I was about to say the Gunroom now has a nice selection of guns. I hadn’t been in there in a long time and he now has a nice selection to choose from. The owner is a ass and a little slimey but he had 8 or 10 FAs to look at the other day.
