I just bought a S&W 57 Classic .41 Mag with 6 inch barrel. I have neglected the .41 Mag while playing with the 10mm for so long. I am thinking a Keith style 215 gr hard cast would be a good starting point. Any other suggestions?

Try a 235g Kieth! H4227 works well as do other well known powders. I dont push my 70s era m57 all that hard just 1200fps from the 8-3/8 tube. Insanely accurate. My 4 cavity drops 2 each of the Kieth and a LBT style 220g

My to favorite bullets for the 41 magnum. A Keith SWC copy and a SSK designed TC made by NEI.

Don't overlook the Lee 195gr SWC mold. It's a pretty good bullet.

Picked up the gun yesterday and it looks great and has a very smooth action. The .41 used to be my favorite until the 10mm came along. I will get a mold and cast my own. I have a friend that services x-Ray Maxine’s so I have a pile of lead.

It shoots well but the grips have to go. They are on the thin side. Thinking Culina in American Holly maybe

I am shooting HSM 230 gr SWC Bear Loads at the moment until I get a mold and start rolling my own. Probably more potent than needed but I got a good deal on them so figured i would give them a try.
