I have a 500 Linebaugh that I am wondering about how old it is. Wonder what year John did the conversion work? The number "67" is stamped forward of the trigger guard on the frame. Any of you gentleman with Linebaughs able to give me an approximate year/range compared to perhaps your own?

You really need to talk to John. for awhile he was numbering according to gun type. stainless guns had different numbers than blue, vaqueros were numbered in a different range etc.

Call him. 165 was built in 96. So I’d guess yours was early 90s maybe?

Each of the series until recent couple of years, had their own number. So, the blue 500 5.5” Bisley start at 1, then the stainless same 500 etc start at one. Same with 475s, 45s etc. then he recently changed to all of them just being sequential because of the obvious nightmare of numbering you can see there. Hahahahaha. I think he started the sequential about 1000-1010? He can tell you for sure but it’s different than when he started
