Wow, Sheriff,
You're reading my mind. I wondered how the taper of the 32-20 would stay intact in a straight walled 30 carbine cylinder.
I assume this also means if I continue to use the 32-20 dies, I will be working that brass really hard to get the taper back in. I would guess that brass life would be short. If I go to 30 carbine dies, that keeps the brass from overworking and I will then have "rimmed" 30 carbine cases. That's interesting to remove a weakness of that cartridge.
Why hasn't Starline produced a rimmed 30 carbine case to start with? Is it because it might not allow some 30 carbine revolvers cylinders to rotate?

As to your 'Starline' question, that'd be as good a guess as any, and, it's compete with the .30 carbine brass they produce...

Sheriff, Thanks for your comments on the 30 carbine. .309 diameter huh. That sounds like the T/C 32-20 if I recall correctly. I think my new addiction, the 32-20, just took a new turn. I have held off on getting a 32-20 barrel for my T/C because of the "smaller" diameter used, .309. Now that I realize I can shoot the .309's in my 30 carbine as well, I'm ready to jump in. Anybody know right off who carries a nice cast in .309? I think I'll try GT. So between Dick and Sheriff, I have a new excitement for the 32-20 in .309, the 30 carbine, and the T/C. That makes me have one hell of a morning sitting here in my easy chair. BIG GRIN !!! You guys are awesome. Prescut Oddshooter, look at Montana Bullet Works as well...They have a nice selection of 32-20s

Thanks for the reference, 500.
I lived in Missoula during the 70's and still have a sweet spot for those folks. I've bought from Montana Bullet Works before, but they want about .25 cents a bullet. So my purchases have been small.
Very nice stuff, especially their 135gr 32-20. I don't see that from other manufacturers.

WAS LOOKING FOR "BUCKEYE" LEVEL LOADING INFO FOR MY 32-20 RUGER BUCKEYE USING A 120gr BULLET AND H4227 POWDER, AND HERE, UNDER MY NOSE, WAS SOME GOOD INFO. I HAD FOUND SOME TAFFIN INFO THAT RECOMMENDED 12grs OF 4227 BUT LOOKS LIKE 13grs IS ALSO VIABLE.
TODAY I LOADED SOME 32-20's, R-P CASES, FC 200 PRIMERS, 12grs OF H4227, AND A 120gr FP GC .313 BULLET FROM MONTANA BULLET WORKS. WILL LOAD UP SOME WITH 13grs OF H4227 LATER TODAY. HOPE TO TRY 'EM OUT TOMORROW MORNING.

Paco is THE MAN...
I'm really looking forward to getting my Buckeye 32 back.
Found one at a really good price that Bowen had rechambered the 32 Mag Cylinder to 327 Federal. The receipt still in the box.
Shipped it off to Clements for a full overhaul. It's being blued now, so hopefully it won't be long before it's hone...
