Bought one of the Lipsey's New Ruger #1 AHs. It's a bit different than any other model of #1s in my collection.
It's similar to the #1A, but a few adjustments. The barrel is the same profile, but extended to 24" instead of the standard 22". The rifle comes without sights and the solid, none slotted rib. Also, has the barrel banded front sling swivel like the #1H. The rifle weighs in at a reasonable 6.8 lbs.
An interesting variation to say the least. Installed a 4-12x Vortex BDC Scope and ordered RCBS Dies and Starline Brass.
Will see how this fine looking rifle shoots as weather cools with the arrival of Fall approaching.

Good deal! The 6.5 Creedmoor is my favorite rifle cartridge smaller than 338. With a good trigger, they are so easy to shoot very well. And are excellent killers.

i used to own a 6.5cm in tc encore 16 1/4" MGM heavy factory barrel. it shot under 1" with many handloads. the 120gr nosler bt with a charge of superformance killed many deer for me. i gave her up and bought a husky m46 in 9.3x57.

Fall approaching? It was 15°F. Here this morning . More than half the leaves are gone from the trees.

Not uncommon for it to be well below 0 F . on halloween here. Kids trick or treat costumes tend to be sized to fit over winter gear.

The 6.5x55 is my favorite 6.5mm too. Have it in a Ruger #1 as well.
Never met a 6.5mm that didn't like. Have those two in multiple guns plus the 6.5x54 and 6.5 Grendel.

My littlest was 8 when I built him a SR Mexican 98 using a Swedish Carbine barrel and 12" LOP stock. Tiny little rifle that easily dispatched a 250 lb PA whitetail!
Recently found a nice Model 7-0 Classic in 6.5x55 that came home with me.
Earlier this year I took home a CZ527 in 6.5 Grendel. Then a Kimber Hunter in 6.5 Creed found its way into my safe as well.
Yeah, me and the 6.5's, we get along well.

My Grendels include the CZ527. Also a 24" EABCO TC G2 Carbine and 13" MGM G2 Pistol. The cartridge works great in all lengths.
