That's pretty bad. Would definitely want that corrected.

I am really close to having steel front sights for those BFRs!

Its probably a lighting issue but it looks like the hole is drilled off to the side in the pic of the problem BFR.

A footnote on the jig and saw.
Red jig cut the brass short, 1.38, notified seller, sent a replacement, same color same issue. May have it fixed now but he sent a blue one as the 2nd replacement, cut 1.401 perfectly.
very nice guy and made it right which I appreciate. Won’t be able to comment on the red ones in the future (I’m sure he’ll work out the kinks) but the blue works perfectly.

Its probably a lighting issue but it looks like the hole is drilled off to the side in the pic of the problem BFR. That is exactly what they did to mine. I wonder if it is just a JRH problem. Haven’t heard of any other calibers with the issue. But it seems like all the new JRH’s have the issue. Funny they don’t catch it in QC

Lol. Very nice. Glad you are enjoying it Bet the others at the range liked it also... I am still really digging mine. I have over 500 rounds through it now. Mostly down loaded stuff although I do usually start with a few cylinders of " In Case Of Dinosaur" loads. Just remember, chicks dig scares.

After handling both the 4-5/8" and 6-1/2" Ruger Bisley SBH in 480 Ruger I've decided I like the 5-1/2" barrel length of my 45 Colt Bisley's the best. +1...Everytime I pick up, handle, and/or shoot my Bilsey 5 1/2" 45 Colt...it just feels perfect! My BFR 480 Ruger was cut down to 5 7/8" and that is pretty darn nice too...but NOT complete yet till I get rid of that hideous rubber grip! Ugh! Either new wood from Zane, grip mod from Jack, or back to BFR for the Bisley...one of those will happen when I recover from Christmas. Sorry for the off-tangent-ness! But yeah...5.5-6" seems just about perfect to me!
