Picked up a "bunch"of old vintage ammo, many odd calibers, original boxes, UMC, Remington, Winchester etc. Some of the Winchester are BP loaded, lots of .22 boxes, loaded, mint condition, Ideal handloader in the Box, Marbles cleanning kit, in the metal box with cardboard sleeve, etc., I think you get the picture. Picked up to resell, but, I really don't want to give it away, don't want to try and rape people either. Any ideas where I could do a little research and find some realistic selling prices? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, Jack

My suggestion would be look for completed sales on Gunbroker and Ebay. Don't look at current listings since some people try to get more than it's worth out of it all, if it's a confirmed sale for more than $0.00, then it's a good base line for a price to go off of. Other than that, I don't know of any vintage ammunition price guides out there, like a Blue-Book for firearms. I did some Googling and came across this website, don't know how reliable it is. shotshellboxes.com/OnlinePriceGuide

As do I.
We have had a brother and sister from our church living with us while they finish college. The young lady drew a cow moose tag this year and I offered her the use of any rifle in my safe. She chose a 100 year old Mannlicher Schoenauer 8x56 topped with a vintage Leupold 3x. I had several boxes of 75 year old Western 200 grain RN and she made a good kill with it. 100 year old rifle, vintage scope and 75 year old ammo for one's first head of big game is going to be hard to top.
I do love old ammo and especially the colorful old boxes.

Cooks, when you get prices I think you could sell the stuff right here to members......I too like the old boxes for display, and would not have issue with splitting the cost if someone else wanted the ammo. Either way, I’m interested in the stuff as well.
