Did you ever think someone would post about a Taurus?

That bullet Raging is a beautiful revolver...
I probably fall into an even stranger class yet... I've used 2 Taurus revolvers in custom projects...
1st is a stainless 8 shot 22 magnum ( 941??? ) that we converted to centerfire, & it now shoots basically the old 22 Velo-dog... it'll fire those cartridges, as well as some steel cases I had made & in ranges from 22 short, to 22 magnum, depending on powder used... along with a custom set of dies & shell holders...
2nd was a Taurus Raging Hornet... 8 shot 22 Hornet... didn't like how muzzle heavy the factory 10" full under lug barrel was, so we grafted a 6" Dan Wesson barrel shroud on to it, & built a new barrel using 1 in 9" twist barrel stock... it now fully stabilizes heavy ( up to 68 grain ) 22 bullets out of a Hornet case, through a 6" barrel... gun is much better balanced without the full underlug & longer barrel
Not so strange actually. I also have two "custom" Taurus revolvers.
The first is a "parts box" duo-tone eight-shot large-frame revolver (blued cylinder, hammer, trigger and screws in a 6.5" stainless frame) that not only uses .38 Special and .357 Magnum ammo, but is capable of using a rimless .357 Magnum made from .223 brass that uses the factory full-moon clips from the .30 Carbine revolver. Unfortunately, the ready to load brass and full-moon clips are no longer available.
The second is an M607 seven-shot assembled crane/cylinder and action installed in an M608-8SS frame. The reason for this build is the cartridge that it uses, the .360 Dan Wesson. The seven-shot cylinder with one less chamber and the offset bolt slots has more metal around the chambers to better handle the higher pressure of the .360 DW. The M607 however was only offered with a 4" and 6.5" barrel. The longer 8 3/8" M608 barrel makes better use of the increased powder capacity of the .360 DW.
I have never had need of Taurus customer service so I can't address that issue.
