If it did happen I didn't think it would be me either. I do own one Taurus besides this, a 941 22 mag and it was one of the first guns I ever bought. So a high volume LGS had this thing for a few months now and I saw it in the case but I never asked to see it before today. Without looking too far into it I did know two things, I haven't seen any blued raging bulls anywhere and I have never seen a Taurus with a case colored hammer and trigger. The trigger is solid on the back, like it's actually forged. I figured this gun was a little older but I wasn't sure how old. When I held it today I was shocked to see it's nearly mint besides a light turn line. Someone played with it a lot but honestly it looks barely fired, no scratches or marks anywhere. The high polish blue is something to see, I really can't believe how nice it is. I mean we're talking about a Taurus. Did I mention it locks up tighter than anything I own? I could do without the gaudy Raging Bull insignia but other than that I can't find any reason not to like this gun. Oh and I was right about the age, the serial number puts it at 1998.

I wouldn't mind having one of those around. Especially in that condition !

I have several Taurus revolers that are exceptional.
Outside of elitist being arrogant, nothing wrong with them.
I've got a Pawn Shop 44 Special that outshoots my FA97.
Also a wonderful Raging Bull in 41 Magnum and a Tracker 218 Bee.
All I can say is CONGRATULATIONS!

Groo here I have one of the first SS 6in 454's. I thought that anyone who rapped a gun around a 454 knew what they were doing. They did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first handgun is a Taurus model 66 in 357 Mag. I have had no complaints with it. Handles any factory load I put in fine and without issue, even Buffalo Bore 180s. In fact, I thought it handled them better than a friends 6” Smith and Wesson.
I never appreciated the trigger until this past 6 months. Picked up a Ruger GP100 and Security Six. My 66 trigger is so much better than either Ruger.
Each firearm has its strengths and weaknesses, but I have been completely satisfied with my Taurus.
Oh, and I have always wanted a Raging Bull in 41mag... not to mention the Tracker in 41 Mag.

I also started out on a Taurus 66 that I literally shot loose after many years of it being my only revolver. I had nothing against it when I sold it.
I load midrange 454 for a Rossi 92 and I've been itching for an revolver too. I'm not quite ready to dive into a FA for something I'm not even sure I'll like shooting. I am still stunned at the beauty of this thing. It will get shot but not extensively, I have many other double action revolvers that are around for that.

I'm a Taurus owner also...have three Trackers in .41 Magnum...4" stainless, 4" titanium and a 6" titanium... They are far better guns than the S&W AirLite 357PD and NG I had... They are gone and the Tauri remain....

The first revolver I ever owned was a brand new Taurus 85 in .38 Special. Maybe not quite as smooth in DA as a Smith but close enough for half the price. An entirely serviceable little snubby better made than her competition around the same price point. I'd never look down on owning a Taurus.

One of my favorite revolvers is my 941 .22 magnum snubby. Great all around ranch gun.

One of my favorite revolvers is my 941 .22 magnum snubby. Great all around ranch gun. Had one of these in 5" blue. My 77 year old mother borrowed it and won't give it back. Her SAA got put aside and critters that mess up her yard are in real jeopardy.

As far as I can recall (which isn't far), a used Model 85 was my first revolver. Wound up selling it to a detective who was a regular customer and he cut the hammer spur off and used it as an ankle gun. Dad still has one he brings out every so often.
I just wish dealing with them wasn't a game of customer service roulette. I suppose that goes for a lot places nowadays though...

Taurus just announced a six shot 38 snubby, appears to be on the same frame size as a Colt DS. I like six shot small snubbies in 38.

I have had to use their customer service 4 times in the 8 years I have owned a Taurus (have 2). 3 were my fault, and one (PT22) had trigger problems. For the 3 on the 66 that were my fault, they returned the gun fixed and functioning great within 3 weeks from shipping off. 4th (PT22) took a little longer, but honestly, they fixed the trigger and now it pulls noticeably better than before. So, I can’t say anything bad about their customer service, personally.

That bullet Raging is a beautiful revolver... I probably fall into an even stranger class yet... I've used 2 Taurus revolvers in custom projects... 1st is a stainless 8 shot 22 magnum ( 941??? ) that we converted to centerfire, & it now shoots basically the old 22 Velo-dog... it'll fire those cartridges, as well as some steel cases I had made & in ranges from 22 short, to 22 magnum, depending on powder used... along with a custom set of dies & shell holders... 2nd was a Taurus Raging Hornet... 8 shot 22 Hornet... didn't like how muzzle heavy the factory 10" full under lug barrel was, so we grafted a 6" Dan Wesson barrel shroud on to it, & built a new barrel using 1 in 9" twist barrel stock... it now fully stabilizes heavy ( up to 68 grain ) 22 bullets out of a Hornet case, through a 6" barrel... gun is much better balanced without the full underlug & longer barrel
