I'm not sure what's more impressive, the machine work or your shooting skills! Enjoyed that video immensely.
And Curtis, yes, I thought the very same thing. Right now I am looking for a pair of .357 vaquero's to turn into a pair of .44 specials. I want to incorporate a fixed but easily replaceable front sight to make regulation easier.
Thanks for sharing both threads!

Are you seating your primers on a Dillon 650 so that you get a crush fit? I ask because many shooters who "bob" the hammer have ignition problems unless they get a very hard seat on their federal primers. I never bobbed the hammer on any of my guns, just never thought it was necessary but that's just one man's opinion. Great write up & photo's on your project & a well finished gun. Dick Dick, I do seat my primers fairly deep on the 650. I don't crush them like some do, but they are definitely fully seated. I cut down the hammer quite a bit, so it weighs about half of what a factory hammer does. That allows it to whack the primer pretty well at reduced pull weights. When I played around with the lower limit of reliability it would run at 4.5# DA.
