I have the same gun as warhawk .It's my nightstand gun. At one time I also had the DA with a hammer version. It got sold as I actually found the DA only version was easier to shoot ,for me. They did that good of a job tuning the DA pull. I also have a S&W 296TI and the Rossi is much easier to shoot well. Hmmmm just sounds wrong to say. I would also disagree that the Charter Arms and the Rossi are built to the same strength. I have shot TWO CA bulldogs to useless looseness and the Rossi is still tight and strong. For my money the 720 is the BEST gun Rossi ever built and the only Rossi I will own.

Ohhhh, forgot one thing. Check the sight inserts very carefully . Strangely, this is the place Rossi chose to cut a corner on this model and they use a black plastic. Here in the dry hot desert very much holster work and they would snap off. When I last checked they were unobtainium.

Thanks, this one is red-orange and looks to be pinned in a slot like the one above, not integral to the front sight base. I think one could be fabbed up without extreme effort.
Haven't heard back from the shop, might call later...

awp101, it's been several months since you first saw it, maybe they are ready to sell now? Let us know I don't think those are bad guns.

This is the version I'm looking at: I think I’ve probably seen 10 of this model for every 1 of the fixed sight hammerless version. I’ve had both, and currently only have a hammerless Gun. I don’t plan on letting this one go, but would love to find another in either configuration.

After a year and a half of looking, fondling, etc the M720 followed me home yesterday, $350 OTD. Ugly indoor pics are all I can manage right now... The trigger is surprisingly smooth and reasonably light. I'll have to fab a front sight as I can see this one is cracked right about where the pin runs through it.

Andrew Nice grab, I hope you have good luck with it. My experience with Rossi, although limited wasn’t great . Back in early 90s my buddy came back desert storm and was out of the marines and looking to become a cop, he cane to me to learn handguns do I had my python and he bought a Rosso 357 new first I’m like action snd looks just like a Smith , after half a box of ammo the hammer broke! On a brand new gun shooting typical factory loads I was like ok looks like a Smith but at half the cost and know I no why. That was back then and I never bothered to look at another Rossi. Don’t let this tale bother you, I’m sure yours will be fine this was just my experience with them. Jim

Let the elite look down their noses,,, you got a good one . Never a Camp Perry target gun but a big bore belly gun supreme. Enjoy it for what it is. This is my fixed sight DAO which packs nicely in a Plain Jane hunter holster. I thought about nicer grips then decided Meh,,, they do a decent job ,shoot and carry well, why bother.

I always thought that was a good looking revolver, good snag. My only experience with Rossi is their model 92 lever action in .44-40, which are pretty good rifles.

Congratulations, how well does it shoot? Don't know yet. We're running 6 days a week right now at work but hopefully I can get to the range over the holiday weekend. nolongcolt, I had a couple of the Rossi .45 Colt 92s for a short time and don't recall any issues with them either. Samples of one and all that of course...
