Very nice! I didn't remember USFA making a 38 Super! A 1911 in 38 Super is really high on my want list, but January is a tough month for discretionary funds. Tim

It’s a nice one. Looks unfired as far as I can tell. They didn’t make very many 45s. They made very few 38S. Beautiful pistol!

I was talking to the guy who built that gun just before Christmas... I had brought in some guns to be worked on and we were discussing just that gun and how I had the chance to buy two of them when they were still being made and had passed...
It is a good price and very tempting...Bob

I’d love to hear more! I’d really love to know how many 38Super were actually made. Thanks for your input!

Just spoke to Jody Joseph who built the guns...he said if I had gotten through to him he would have gladly paid $3K or more for the gun...he has not been able to find one for himself.
He is pretty sure only 40+- Supers were built...
The previous owner of USFA is looking to get back into the gun business and is looking to have Jody build 1911s for him...

It would be nice to have USFA build single actions again but after the zip gun who knows what their product line would be.....

Rumor is USFA sold their tooling to Standard Mfg. Of course, other than one prototype that has been shown off, Standard Mfg. seems to not be able to turn out single actions. I'm set up as a dealer with them and they are mostly hawking their DP12 shotguns.

I’ve traded posts with your 38 Super’s new owner as he posted it on the USFA thread in the Lounge section on the Colt forum. I do have a 38 Super myself, and as it turns out, the two guns are only two digits apart in serial number. How about that! Here’s mine.
