I was recommended this site by AWP101 and love it! Big into 1911 and S&W revolvers I saw this SA at a local gun store, did some research and bought it for about what the holster might be worth. I have not got to pick it up yet, what would the extra cylinder be for? Thanks,Jeffrey

Welcome! Nice gun! Second cylinder for 45 ACP would be my guess. Tim

I don't know if I could live without a front sight blade - but that is authentic! Beautiful gun! Glad I got my USFAs while they were still available...

Nice shooter and leather, welcome to the sickness, for most of us the revolvers are more addicting, for me especially the single actions, you'll have a lot of help investing here,,,

Since that gun is in the white still you could get engraved, case colored, charcoal blued and have a lightweight treatment done to it!
It would make the holster look even better!
Welcome!

Bad pic, the box was when it was new, it had been a total custom build

Why is Brandon de Wilde's name on the tag?

Why is Brandon de Wilde's name on the tag? ***** Good observation, Ken. Now, an observation on the holster: roughness of the meat side, with sag lines around the opening and general sag around the “chap” suggest the leather was cut, not high along the back, but low toward the belly, where skin is much more elastic. The trigger area appears to have been hacked open. Is the buckle silver? And the grips... what material? Intriguing image, low relief horse head, neck tapering opposite reality. Art properly follows function on a tool. To judge by photo, poetic work. David Bradshaw

Apparently the gun store just googled the movie and used his name instead of ALan Ladd

Apparently the gun store just googled the movie and used his name instead of ALan Ladd Good grief! That makes my hair stand on end! Thousands of students have STUDIED "Shane" in college Theatre classes, as likely the greatest western, and one of the greatest movies, ever made ... plus some. Guys who are the ripe perfect age of David Bradshaw and myself have probably watched it enough to memorize it. Googled it ... good grief! For the uninitiated and short in the tooth, Brandon de Wilde played Joey, the boy in the movie. He died very young, in the early 70's.
