I thought this anecdote would resonate here. Pop didn't take any pictures. He hasn't gotten in the habit of carrying a phone and his camera is large and heavy. I've been smiling about it silence Thursday. Now if I can get my boy on one tomorrow a perfect week.

Best hunting story I've read in a long time!! My father's in his 70's now, and I know how hard it can be at that age... Congratulations to your Pop, and tell him next year to take some pictures!!!

A true hunter's spirit. Now this kind of story makes me smile,, and at the same time,, shed a tear or two. I smile at the heart, the strength & determination he had,, and I shed a tear,, knowing all of us will one day "take our last deer." Apparently,, he had at least one more in his plans! Please shake his hand for us,, and let him know a lot of hunters around here admire him.
