I wonder who's making the grips for these. Looks a lot like the work of Eagle Grips.

As much as I want to get back into 327, that blued 5" would really make a nice 44 Special. I know, buy both...

I'll go ahead and jump on the bandwagon: That gun would be better in 357. It looks gorgeous.
Am I the only one bothered by the 1/4" gap between the crane and the frame? And the misalignment.

Did you guys see that some Redhawks now have Barrel-in-Sleeve designs? ala S&W. "Improved accuracy!" oh, and it happens to be Cheaper, but disregard that, we only did it because "Improved accuracy!" edit: Source: www.ruger.com/products/redhawk/specSheets/5060.html

Oh yeah! Now that's something I could really get into... Is there any more information on this specific model, etc so I can keep my eyes out for it? Can't seem to find it up on their website as of yet.

I hope Ruger doesnât plan on applying that to the Redhawks in the other calibers... I thought the whole selling point with Ruger revolvers was that they were purposely overbuilt. Now with these new âimprovementsâ it just seems like your getting an S&W knock-off only with lower grade steel. And Iâm not thrilled with the MIM parts on some their double-actions either. Ruger is really starting to over-extend itself, and at the expense of the quality of its products.

Ruger is really starting to over-extend itself, and at the expense of the quality of its products. Hold up there, Sparky. Where the "F" do you get that Ruger uses lower grade steel?! According to Jack Huntington, who used to work for S&W by the way, S&W uses softer steel than Ruger does. So I don't buy your statement for one second. Secondly, S&W uses MIM parts too, so why are you throwing that at Ruger as if they're the only ones doing it?!

Ruger uses more steel on their frames than S&W because S&Wâs are forged and done so from exceptionally strong bar stock. This issue has been debated since as long as there have been internet forums, and the consensus is well established. Just place a 627PC next to a 357 Redhawk, and it is obvious that the Redhawk is much thicker. It needs to be to achieve th3 same strength and inegrity that the 627 has by comparison.
As for the MIM parts, I have one redhawk with a cast trigger and one redhawk with a MIM trigger. The cast trigger is smoother and feels more solid to the touch. Itâs just my opinion, but I like the cast trigger better and could see no reason to justify the change, other than that Ruger wanted to save manufacturing costs.
