I too have your book Handgun Hunting. I read it all the time, very good book. I don't mean to bother you but do you remember a magazine called 44 Mag? You cut off a SBH inch by inch to test the velocity. I have always remembered this and wonder if you do too. Thanks, and the best to you sir.

Sorry, Lee - we've emailed back and forth a few times a few years back. I grew up in IN after you were there, and then moved to NM after you left. I've got a couple clients down in Hagerman now, but I suspect they're in a different part of town from where you're living. cheers, erich

Erich: I don't know what part of town that may be, I can almost throw a rock across town. Where abouts I live on what might be called the South side about 1/4 mile from where I lived before, we have three resturants or coffee shops, I'm about 1/2 mile from the P.O. as the Raven flies...

Well, I guess I don't get an answer. I just wondered. I am married so I'm used to being ignored.

Yes DON, I remember the article and have it somewhere. Put a stainless bull bbl on the gun afterwords, 1", a little bbl heavy at 8" long but swung nicely on running Jacks, kept it like that for about a year, then finally milled a flat and put an ejector on it. Carried a piece of dowell rod for an ejector for that first year :-) custom gunmakers sometimes do strange things. ATB, LEJ
