thanks y'all! sure glad none of you came to your senses when it was for sale. now I just need to find the other one so I can have a matching pair.
Bushog, it's still a .44Mag. I've just been running specials out of it but now that it's cooled off some I need so assemble some Magnum loads and test it out.
potatojudge, I remember the gun you're talking about. was kind of hoping an octagon ERH would catch on as it looked really cool.

Looks like the holster with the give away gun was by Thad Rybka. He could make you one.

Very nice setup there. Sometimes I wonder if we forum members realize how truly blessed we are. as some here have said we truly are in the Golden age of the single action. I'm very thankful we have the ability to so easily share information, experiences and sometimes even sixguns. I always thought the golden age was when the Colt SAA was king and was the only one. I thought this was the silver age. Or is it that the Golden age just never quite ended and just remains strong and the age refuses to end? As Jim Taylor wrote many years ago: "Guns will come and guns will go. Single Actions endure. Long after glock has melted into an unrecognizable lump Single Action will still be here. When the last autoloader has ground to a halt because the magazine is rusted or worn or bent Single Action will continue to work. When the crane has gotten so loose on the double action that the firing pin no longer reaches the cartridge in the chamber Single Action will still be shooting. Single Action Lives! Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. I have 2 single actions on my belt and one in my boot."
