Robb,
All these grips were made when I was first starting out and selling grips on Ebay.
Grips 1-3-4-5-7 are all stabilized spalted maple
Grips 2-6 are Bocote
These grips were made in 2003.

Glad to know what these were. I recognized the Spalted Maple, but had no idea about the Bocote. Beautiful Cary # 5 did have me wondering, that was an unusual one.

That's the thing about spalted maple. There is no blueprint for it. It is completely random. It doesn't even follow the grain in the wood. The longer the spalting process is allowed to continue, the wilder looking it can get.

I really had my eyes on #4 - contender made a good choice. Robb, the Bocote really doesn't do anything for me, so I'll withdraw and let someone else bump up on the list. Thanks for the opportunity!

Okay gentlemen, whether due to grip shape or wood type, we have had a couple people withdraw and there is still one set of Cary Chapman grips left. It is set #2 which he made out of Bocote wood. These are available to the next person that says "I will take them" at the same shipped price of $95. Once this last set is gone then there are a couple more sets of factory grips I will stick up for sale.
Have a great week!
Robb

No one interested in the last set of Bocote grips? If no one steps forward by tonight I will stick them on the Ruger Forum.
