I'll let Tank tell his story, probably when he gets back home & settled in. He was real close to nailing a nice buck the first morning but he can fill in the blanks. We saw a lot of deer again today & will be going out again tonight for the final hunt. Keeping my fingers crossed. It's been a real joy having him here. Hunting with good friends is a special time.

I have an interest in what that bullet did along with a picture of it and an analysis of what it did inside the animal. Thanks.....................

It hit the big shoulder bone going in & got the right lung so I'm not sure what I will find tomorrow from that Penta HP. Also I'll have to look at my old notes & see how fast it's running with 10 grs of Unique. I'm used to using a Keith solid & punching all the way through but wanted to try this HP again, worked great.

I use the Ruger only penta 45 Colt bullet in my Handi Carbine. It is a hard alloy and explodes when it hits deer. I usually find the base and several small wound channels going thru the deer's vital cavity.
It is a hammer.
