Awesome!
When do you figure we should be able to place an order? To coincide with general availability in perhaps-Feb/March?

Called today, my obligatory monthly call.
Still no SKU, hopefully soon. Every call, sounds like it's incrementally closer...

Bummer. It happens in my line of work all the time. Understandable though.
Does that mean there is a risk to MRI's reputation for using quality barrels?

I called MRI this morning, and hey sad to expect them to be ready for projection in early 2018. Good! That gives me time to save some money I'll start saving!! Me too.

Did Magnum Research ever get around to producing a 500 Linebaugh BFR? Thanks.

I saw on their Instagram feed they are finally offering full octagonal barrels. Which is great, I couldn’t get past the partial octagon. I messaged them about a year ago about why they didn’t offer full octagons and their reply was that they had some instances of barrels splitting in the first half inch or so. Hopefully they’ve got the situation under control. Now, if they could just do something about that banana grip.

In my humble opinion, that banana grip is the best out of the box grip for heavy recoil, bar none. May not be pretty, but there is beauty in the function.

I’ll admit I did not warm up to it’s aesthetics at first, no doubt it handles recoil better than a plow handle (for almost everyone) but it’s style is really growing on me as well. It matches the rest of the gun, beefy and utilitarian. With that in considation, I realized it is a home run in form and function, at least imo.

By far the best I have tried also. The look does grow on you but after shooting it you probably won't care about the looks anyway. I am a Bisley grip fan though. Always have been. Wish I could get this grip on my Freedom Arms.

Thanks for the information.

I wish I could try the banana grip. I can not put my hands on it locally. At the risk of getting kick out of this forum, I really like the FA grip frame with the Pachmayr rubber grip on my Field Grade 454.
