Hi...
Went with the family to see The Dark Tower last weekend.
OK movie...certainly not a cinematic masterpiece, just a bit of mindless escapism entertainment. It did come off as a bit better than the reviews indicated...most I had read were pretty brutal in their criticism.
I thought Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba turned in good performances as the stars of the movie.
We will be going to see The Hitman's Bodyguard this evening. I have high hopes for this to be an entertaining movie of the buddy-type action genre.
I think Samuel L. Jackson is a pretty decent actor and Ryan Reynolds seems to always make an entertaining film(of those I have seen). I guess I like his acting style because he is a bit like me...a bit irreverent, dark twisted sense of humor, and doesn't take himself too seriously. Plus he is almost as good-looking as me.

Pretty sure Samuel L. Jackson is known for bad politics... I hate that but the man is one fine actor...

No plans to watch Dark Tower, Idris Elba and McConaughey are both fine actors, but like others I have no wish to support anything King does, he is not only anti gun he is an utter leftist lunatic in all things. No use for him at all. Same with ol Samuel L., a loon.

I have heard conflicting reports about Samuel Jackson. I've heard the negative, which may or may not be true. I've also seen where he ordered 10 Custom Shop Colt SAA's specially engraved for the Hateful Eight cast and gave them as gifts. That's a fact. Bruce Dern's will be at Rock Island Auctions in the near future. So because somebody dislikes guns they are a Bolshevik and instantly equated to the furthest of the far left? Never for one second did I say anybody wasn't a good man, hard working of good moral character and a fine American, let's keep that straight from the beginning. Seems when folks can't handle any ideas that are different from their own in any way then we're headed down the wrong road, America is a give and take society, those who won't bend will break. I don't have a problem with liberal ideals because they are different from my own. This isn't a Ford vs Chevy or what's your favorite color argument. I have a problem with them because they are 180° from our Constitution. Because the America they want isn't America at all. Because the only free speech they tolerate is that which agrees with them. All else must be silenced through whatever means necessary. That said, I certainly don't agree with Stephen King's political views and I don't consider myself a fan but I pick and choose who to spend my money with. If it's something I want to see, I go see it. IMHO, the funds I donate to the NRA-ILA along with my lifetime Benefactor membership more than makes up for it. It's also worthy of note that Stephen King does not solely write horror and the Dark Tower series is one of them. He also wrote Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile.

How would you like to grow up being Stephen King's little brother? Bunk beds maybe....

As I said, I made a mistake by bringing politics in to this and as Lee doesn't want it on his site I will not discuss it further.

Well...politics spoiled it and no one answered part of my comment.
will revolvers see an uptick in sales because of the move like bows did for the hunger games?
And if you want to talk politics, I am a far right conservative(more of a Constitutionalist) but please. you could never shop or eat out or even purchase groceries if you only supported conservative businesses. I can't stand what they are doing to this country but you all support this site and we can't even buy or sell guns on it. we all have to go to the Ruger forum or gunbroker

Well, it completely bombed at the the box office bringing in a paltry 3.7 million for the weekend, so I seriously doubt in has any effect on revolver sales.

will revolvers see an uptick in sales because of the move like bows did for the hunger games? It's a possibility. If it gets more folks shooting, I'm all for it.
