A buddy of mine, Michael, who is pictured in another thread with a lion he killed in South Africa in 2015 just took delivery of some taxidermy. The Wildlife Gallery is responsible for the outstanding artwork. He killed said lion with Barnes 250 grain XPBs out of his .454 SRH. An awesome trophy in my humble opinion! Just for perspective, Michael stands 6-feet tall at 220. BIG cat.  |

They do beautiful work! It seems to be real easy to screw up a cat. I see a lot of them that look like they were run over by the delivery truck with their faces mashed up. That one is done right!

My taxidermist here in the states is a childhood buddy who has been in business for over 50 years & does great work & did my African mounts the last time I went. Nest time I will have them done over there. We visited a place in Jo Burg that was 2 stories tall & on both sides of the street, they do more animals in one day than most state side places do in a couple of years with few exceptions. It was impressive!

wow ! Wether pursuing or being pursued, that'd have me ear'n back the hammer. Visited, viewed Kastaway Kulis's place in Bedford Ohio years ago. He did/does the freeze dry thing.Is that still in vogue ?

It was impressive! Dick But this one, I think, looks great! Would you agree? I think the Wildlife Gallery does really good work, especially on cats. They did Gary Smith's buff/lion hybrid mount that was featured at DSC in Dallas a year ago. |

Ken, I figured you had been there, very interesting place. Haven't been in a lot of other taxidermy studio's but that one has to be the biggest!
