Thanks Fermin. I do have a pair of punches that I can cut if I don't find the right bolts that I can cut down. I like the idea of sizing them nose down for most purposes,,, but the idea of seating a GC make me go base first on those. Since most of my bullets are now PCed & I don't lube any currently,,, I'll follow Dicks advice about a little spray lube. The guys at Magma are nice too. I called them a while back about a thermostat for my Magma Caster.

Bill is correct, the Lathesmith is great to do business with, turns out a great sizer die. I really need to get another one for my 32/327. Back about 3 years ago when I was still wintering in Arizona & powder coating was just being born I was like everyone else, experimenting with different ways of doing it & sharing what we had learned. With the bigger bullets with long bearing surface's I was many times running into stubborn bullets when using my Star machine, not so much with my RCBS. After getting a 480 bullet stuck in my sizer & having to drill a hole through the bullet so I could weaken it enough to drive it out I knew there had to be a better way to do this. That's when I came up with the idea of spraying them with Hornady One Shot Case Lube & I never looked back. When I got home to Idaho I read about a few guys bending or breaking their handles on their Star machines & I shared my story & told them about One Shot. Another guy jumped in & told them not to use it, he said all kinds of things that "might" happen if you did it but had no evidence of anything he was saying. I told the members I had shot a couple thousand bullets by that time but he still said I was wrong & told them not to use it until more "proof" was given. If Hornady One Shot was safe with primers how bad could it be with sizing a LEAD bullet! Now, 3 years later no one has ever had a problem using it as a lube for stubborn bullets & I'm pretty sure this same guy is also using it, either that or he doesn't have a Star machine. The stuff dries in a matter of seconds.

I take Dick's advice whenever I can get it! Here's a picture of some Miha 312-640's that dropped kinda big AND I put way too much powder coating on. The top 3 were jackhammered through the sizer dry, (I'm stubborn). The bottom 3 are what the rest looked like sized after a shot of One Shot. That's the same batch of bullets, same sizer, same day. It works!
