Bowen Classic Arms uses this coating on Ruger alloy Blackhawk frames for its custom jobs. I have several and is a good looking finish.

I've been wanting to send about 10 grip frames off all at once to somebody.
Their work looks nice.

I have a old three screw single six that I did in moss green and dark earth that works for me. It pre 22mag so I found a stainless mag cylinder and it dropped right in and it shoots great. The SS stands out nice. The gun had been stole over twenty years and was it very bad shape when it made it back home.

I've seen a couple of revolvers in the tungsten color. They look pretty darn good.

My 500 max came with a cerakote finish, it seemed to put off some......doesn't bother me and it's a tuff finish.

This is funny... I was just considering the same thing today. Actually thinking of doing a SRH... Haven't really looked at color choices yet though.
Anyone have any pics?
Thanks BigBore44

I picked up an OM Ruger that was pretty rough. The finish was worn, and it had some rust & pits. I decided to have it bead blasted & Cerakoted. It turned out pretty good. Some of the pits were gone,, and some were still there,,, but the overall effect made the gun look a LOT better.

I don't know if Bowen does it or ships out. I suspect ships out like the CCH on the frame too.

It looks like Clements offers it on a Marlin rifle package and he uses an outfit in Montana. www.clementscustomguns.com/marlinrifles.html"6. Ceracoat finish is available from $395. This is a baked on finish and the toughest out there to date. It is available in several colors and combinations. Price includes dissassembly, necessary polishing, shipping to cerakote processor, and reassembly. I only use Falcon Gun Finishing in MT for Cerakote. I have used them for years and can depend on getting back only a perfect job. Look up their website to see their color choices."
