Thank you Sean and Mr. Bradshaw. I really like the slow motion. Lets me see progression of the shot. I wonder if those snow shoes would work on the sugar sand here in central Florida? ;-)

paulg.... rather doubt snowshoes would be much help to walk on “sugar sand.” There is an old North Country treat called “sugar on snow,” which is made by pouring hot maple syrup on snow.
As for the Remington M6 .308 carbine, it started life as early (around 1980) production of Remington’s improvement to the durable, accurate & reliable Model 760 pump rifle. The M6 has a four lug bolt head, whereas the predecessor M760 used an artillery-style multi lug bolt head. The M6 features checkered walnut stock and forened, polished blue, and a cashed embedded just in front of the magazine well to designate the cartridge. My friend Ben “Bear Man” Kilham cut the barrel from 22” to 16.8”, installed a Ruger stainless Mini-14 KAC 556 flash hider, fashioned mount for an Intermediate Eye Relief (IER) scope, and fit a Pachmayr Decelerator 1” recoil pad----which makes all the difference in controllability and comfort. A big-head safety by Uncle Mike’s, along with swivels and sling. The front sight is an old Burris sourdough gold bar in the set-back Remington ramp. There is hardly a faster carbine in the woods.
The M6 carbine has hunted every variety of sight: * Williams Guide peep rear with Burris Sourdough front. * The Leopold 2x IER----later called a “Scout Scope” by Jeff Cooper----originally was made to install on the Winchester Model 94 lever action, just forward of the ejection port, as a way to mount an over-the-bore optic. * Burris 2-3/4x Scout Scope. * Leupold 3x rifle scope. * Leupold Vari-X II 2x7x rifle scope. * Aimpoint----first & second generation red dot. * Leupold 2-3/4x IER. * Weaver Quik Point red dot. * Leupold Vari-X III 2.5-8x36mm with German #4 reticle. * Schmid & Bender 4x36mm with German #4 reticle. 26mm tube, which is a hair thicker than 1-inch. Shown in video with Iron Sighter see-through mounts.
Conventional scopes introduce the blur of magnification, making it difficult to get on the close, moving target. Magnification is no friend to this aerial shooting. The IER or Scout Scope is overrated for deer running through woods, shooting at long range, and visibility at dusk. David Bradshaw
