That is a beautiful revolver! Great photos and a dandy ram -- well done! You should recognize that one Mark! It originated from MO at some point

Excellent! Great looking gun and the Mouflon is a fitting way to break it in. Where in the Smokies were you? I'll see if I can get you a birth year when I can get to my books.

That is a really recent serial number according to the Ruger records online.

Both silhouette models of Super blackhawk set revolver records. The blue 10-1/2-inch tapered barrel with ramp front sight---S410N----introduced in 1979, won the first International Revolver Championship in 1980. (The terms International Champion and World Champion are interchangeable. "International" has largely been replaced by "World" at request of national bodies outside the United States.) The 40x40 and 80x80 Revolver Records belong to the S410N Super Blackhawk. The S410N continued the standard ejector, which is too short to completely clear magnum cases. The screw threads into a nut soldered to a countersink in the barrel. An improved silhouette model----KS411N----marks in 1983 the the introduction of stainless steel to the SBH. The untapered 10-1/2-inch barrel, which Ruger describes as a bull barrel, features the long Maximum ejector, with screw threaded directly into barrel, and a screw-attached back-drafted blade target front sight of blued steel. The Maximum ejector is used specifically to speed unloading in silhouette competition. All of these Super Blackhawks had broach rifled barrels made by the George Wilson Company. Ruger cut the traditional 11-degree forcing cone.
Once hammer forging machinery was set up in Newport NH, Ruger produced its own barrels. Quality of the drilled & reamed hole is of utmost importance. Doesn't matter whether rifling is produced by button, broach, hook cut, or hammer forging. Accuracy demands the operation begin with a perfect hole. David Bradshaw

I'll see if I can get you a birth year when I can get to my books. contender, I was in Monterey, TN at the Wilderness Hunting Lodge attending the Gary Reeder Handgun Hunter Challenge. This was my first hunt there and I was very impressed. It has very challenging terrain, excellent food and lodging, and plenty of quality critters and acreages to hunt.

I kinda thought it might be. Not too many places in the Smokies with Mouflon.
