The grips on my Harton .44 special with #5 grip frame broke. My fault, long story, don't want to get into it.
anybody know where I can get an 'off the shelf' set?
I don't want to send in the gun or gripframe at this point for a custom set, i will do that sometime in the future. just want a quick set so i can get out and shoot again.
hate to be picky, but i prefer wood.
Thanks Rob

I am afraid you are out of luck Rob. You might contact Cubrock and see if he has any used TLA grips you could adapt to your gripframe.

There Is a bit of variation in grip configurations from gunsmith to gunsmith on #5's. I'd check with Alan to see if he may have something in progress he could loan you.

Thanks guys.
I'll just have to find someone with a shorter wait and get on the list then I guess.

I have a set of TLA #5's. I can snail mail you a tracing to see if they are close. Tim

Post a pic and maybe we can see if they could be fixed enough to get you back shooting for now?
Sorry they broke. Sucks. Happens.

Brass pins and good epoxy. Stock wrists are done that way all the time. If all the material is there, you can fix them

Rob, Take a look at these and if need be, I'll mail the tracing. Someone on here or the Ruger Forum at one time mentioned having a duplicator that could do revolver grip panels. Can't remember who. I think Sixshot's son or Sixshot, has a stock duplicator but don't know if that will do itty bitty handgun stuff. If they look like a fit, maybe you could find someone to duplicate them. I've got a few pieces of pretty "Steve" walnut. Eskimo has a secret stash of his own as well! it's 1/4" per square graph paper. Tim

Is the grip frame 1 or 2 piece? Cant you just send the frame and have a set made?

Huntington would turn that around pretty quick and his grip work is second to none.

Thanks guys. I'll just have to find someone with a shorter wait and get on the list then I guess. Try Bob Leskovec at Precision Pro Grips...he did mine out of a bookmatched set of French walnut that Steve provided, and he was quick.
