I've seen a few of the all blue Colts. Knowledge level of Colts not great, but they seem to bring a premium.
Congratulations on an outstanding purchase.

I have exactly zero knowledge of anything Colt but that is beautiful. Maybe it's time for a Colt.

Did you used to have a USFA / Turnbull gun that was very similar to that Colt?

It's worth whatever you gave for it.
Seriously a lot more info would be needed. Serial #, is there a box or is it lettered as blued and non CCH, etc.
It would work great on your hip straddling the pony in your avatar. Looks like a great gun Enjoy Amigo.

Grips appear to be replacements. What generation? If 1st gen, it is a high quality reblue.

I agree with Bigmuddy on it's value. I'd bet that those are the orginal Stocks, and I think but with no serial # to go by it's a 3rd Gen. And I would also like to say that it is a very nice looking Colt, and I like my Colts.

I did have a Turnbull kind of similar to this one. the serial # is: SA 916xx Now i just need to get some .44-40 rounds and see how she shoots!!! Grips are kind of blocky. if they are original, they shrunk a bit as they are not flush with the bottom of the gripframe. Doesn't bother me one bit, just an observation

Bring it over to Turnbulls and have the frame CCH.

That Colt was not shipped with grips that fit like those. While I do not like the factory finish on 2nd and 3rd gen walnut, the fit is always perfect. They are fit to the grip frame before blueing. That will affect the value.

Based on the serial number, it is made in 1988.
