Got to shoot again today between thunderstorms. These are the only rounds I got to shoot. Tried the 140gr hpbt hornadys in the larue for the first time today. Im just not shooting this at gold trigger very well. Going to look into adjusting it. Shot the contender again and broke out the freedom arms 97 for 5 rounds as wel.

I mounted a Weaver 2.5-8 handgun scope on my 10” G2 Contender chambered in 357 recently. Sighted in at 50 yards yesterday. Today after my chores i laid on the front porch and fired at my 70 yard steel pig. 3 shots. 3 hits. Of course I didn’t paint it first so I didn’t bother taking pics as it would have been too tough to figure out today’s hits from the past hits. This is a fun little shooter though. I was shooting 158 gr cast RNFP bullets pushed by a charge of 3.8 gr of 231. The target

Not today, but I shot the Michigan State USPSA match earlier this week. The stages were pretty cool so I thought I'd post some video:

I normally shoot steel so don't have pics of targets, but it's getting pretty hot down here in Texas so I broke down and went to the local indoor range. It's nice to shoot without sweat stinging my eyes and slippery hands. This is a Harton/Stroh 414 Gates that some members here have owned previously. The Bowen rear and Stroh front sight are hard to beat. Target was shot at 20 yards off a rest. Loads were Cast Performance 265 grain bullets.

Well I don’t have any pics and this was actually yesterday. I’ve been looking for an Ithaca/SKB XL900 like my dad had when I was young. It’s a semi auto 12 ga shotgun. Found one in Alabama on my travels this week in need of much love. It cleaned up pretty good. We had some out of date sodas in the basement so my son and I burned through two boxes of light loads seeing how it patterned and taking turns shaking up the cans and tossing. Exploding sodas are fun. Then we put 100 rounds of reloads and 20 Hornady XTPs through my .480 Ruger Bisley. Lots of fun with my son. He has young eyes.

I put a Sig Romeo 5 on my PC9 and sighted it in today. It replaced a Burris Fast Fire 2. While I was happy with the FF2, I swapped because of Sig’s auto off/ on feature. I like that i can just put the gun away and not worry about the sight’s battery. And since this is a “bump in the night” gun as well as a range toy I’m glad to have that feature as the switch is not the easiest to find at night on the Burris. For about $130 I’m a bit skeptical of how the motion sensor will work but the batteries are cheap enough to replace if they dont last. The reviews I’ve seen on the sight have been good. I like the smaller dot better. It picks up the 8” gong at 50 yards much easier.

These pics look fine on my ipad. On the pharmacy computer this morning they are sideways.....I'm going to have consult with my computer experts to get it fixed. Unfortunately, my 12yo son is still in bed and my 15yo daughter is mowing the grass.... Went to the farm this morning and shot this left handed stocked Xp-100 for the first time. 6mmBR with shilen barrel. Shot it in at 50 yds and then had to go to the pharmacy and meet a couple customers. Went back at 5 this evening and shot 2 five shot groups at 100 yds before a storm rolled in. It was 93 degrees and the flies were biting but I’m looking forward to playing with it some more. This is the first time I’ve ever shot left handed and used my left eye, but the gun seems to want to shoot.

Don’t make fun of my table, 5 gallon bucket seat, and rest. I blame the fliers on my setup. Wind was blowing the flag pretty good when I finished.

Bucket or no bucket, that is some fine shooting, and being a leftie myself I could see something like that in my future.
