Does Bowen really charge $1250 to fit a new 5-shot cylinder? I think Hamilton line bores all the custom 5 shot cylinders. A lot of work involved in that.

That certainly is not what I would have done for a .45 ACP.
The action is blocked too so it's not just drilling holes in the cylinder.
I have often wished I had a .45AR cylinder for my mid-frame 5 shot .45 Colt.
You can put a whole lot more .45 AR cartridges in your pocket than the Colt rounds...2X as many.
In fact there may be one to show here before too long....

Isn't that the neat thing about living here in the US? We still have ability to work with craftsman to build that dream gun floating around in our mind as long as we have the imagination, they have the skills, time and ingenuity and the ability to pay is met. Shoot, half the guns in my safe may have been inspired by others, including members here, but none are identical. Lets just hope that with things like the stupid ivory situation and the tragedy in Orlando that freedom does not continue to get shackled.

Stainless too. The FA price, $343 for a new gun, $442 for an existing gun, for a cylinder puts a good sanity check on the price for me..
