I managed to get it back together using only a numrich diagram for reference.
It would work perfectly except for the bulged cylinder that keeps it from turning.
No smith really wants to mess with 5 shotting it, (DA conversions make these SA conversions look cheap!) so it will go back to Ruger.
I worked it out so that I drove a loaner vehicle the 80 miles roundtrip to pick it up while my truck was having a windshield replaced, so im into it for only $204.

Aggie I tell you what, I picked one up a few years back and mine is darned accurate .357. Not my favorite cartridge, but it's a shooter! For what you have into it, maybe keep it that way?

Well, it depends on whether ruger is gonna charge me for a new cylinder. If it comes FOC, I'll love my $213 GP100. (+$9 shipping over my last value noted)
I'm not much good at leaving things alone. Two weeks ago, my shooting/hunting plans were interuptted by a bout of rain. So I knocked out an interior wall in my house. I had been meaning to make an office by opening up a hallway into an overly large closet for a while, but i try to be outside on my daylight free time.

The best thing I ever did with a GP-100 was convince a friend to buy one as the first gun he ever owned.
It took a whole day of driving around to area gunshops to locate one at a price he was comfortable with. After looking at about half a dozen new and used models, he finally decided to buy a brand new one.
We spent a day at the range a couple of weeks later familiarizing him with his new revolver and showing him things like sight alignment, shooting stances and trigger control.
I think I was able to get a new gun owner off to a good start....a couple of weeks after that, he bought a new Ruger Mini-14 in .223.

If it gets fixed by ruger, look for a thread of how to remove the full lug from a gp100 with a file and patience...

Well, Ruger is replacing the whole gun. And my replacement doesnt have to be a GP100 at all!. Most of the Single Actions have retail prices lower than the GP100.

Dave is turning a GP into a 41 Special as we speak. Will post pics when it comes home.
