They wouldnt even let use carry rifles for awhile. Then Hollywood shootout happened and a shooting here before Y2K where several para-military boys decided to "prepare" by stealing stuff. They had rifles we didn't and only fools take those odds on and charge ahead. I had to laugh when they said to be looking for these guys and all I had was a 9mm and a shot gun. I went home and got my Gunsite Scout rifle out and stuck it in the trunk. I think most the guys with rifles at home went and got them. I sure would have tried to Elmer Kieth them with that 9mm from along ways off but but it sure wouldnt have been a fair fight.
