No single-action 44specs ? Wha.. You should be sorry, and know I've let my sense of humor out to play. Please rectify your error as soon as possible though. LOL. I honestly have a sickness with the 45 Colt & 44 Special. These two really show how far ahead of their time some of these guys were. Have two SBH Flattop Rugers and have a Charter Arms Bulldog Target ordered. Seriously considering adding a FA97 & S&W 24 Classic. Don't need another 44 Special, but probably will.

Yeah, and we all only have two hands... Mad Max, Beyond the Thunderdome, did give me hope as to what we can pack at one time though !

I don't own any dedicated 44 specials right now but I think I see one in my future. The last 44 mag will someday be conversion fodder.

Did you finally get the 45 wadcutters as well, and if so, how did they do? As impressive as the 44s?

I did receive the 45 Wadcutters. But extreme flooding and weather has prevented me testing yet.
Also, currently waiting on another batch of the 44 Wadcutters sized a bit larger to match to individual guns.
I will return to experimenting with these fine bullets soon and post results.

That's definitely the bullet design I'm talking about. Matt is hardening mine and I'm finding they are great for more than punching paper.
Shooting blocks of wood and cinder blocks shows tremendous impact, penetration and destruction.
For walking around the woods, I'm betting it has few piers.

Impressive penetration! Should work on Black bears as well as small boned animals and elk!

Since this thread, I've started reloading the 45 Wadcutters too. They're just as impressive as the 44s. But, that was expected.
My little Freedom Arms 97 in 45 Colt loaded with these bullets is ideal for woods walking.

I shot some of my ammo loaded with the Matt's Wadcutters today in my S&W 24 Heritage. They shot perfect 1" triangles.
Another gun that likes them.
