So I'm looking at the first picture and thiking, that's one hell of a shot to take out that tree and have it fall right across that hog's head. That just means, one: I've got to get some of that ammo, and two: I have got to practice more. Congratulations on shooting that tree.

WOW what a big hog! Congrats on a great hunt. Id like to hear more about the sixgun and the particular load/velocity,

Did you use a hollow point or was it solid?

It was a 385gr HP loaded over 13.5 gr of HS-6 in 475LB Brass. The sixgun is a Linebaugh "#1 of 100" I get from a forum member last year. Sheephorn grips done by his son Dustin. It's almost too pretty to shoot but that's not going to stop me. My guns get shot.

My buddy found this in some ribs. I saw no damage to the offside ribs but it was hidden in there. He didn't see it until after cooking it, nearly bit into it!!! I had searched the gutpile for 30 min!

Those big hogs can be tough for sure. I've been able to capture a few of the big slugs because the offside hide stretches so well and won't let the bullet exit. Damage is done but you get to keep a souvenir when it's done
