Interesting boolidesigner. Can you post any pics or drawings that show that certain shape and thickness?

Thanks everyone. That was very encouraging performance from the bullet. Next year I may try the penta HP. As far as what the bullet looks like, here's an old Group Buy for the 45-270 with a drawing. No drawing of the HP per se, but you can see clearly in my post what the cavity looks like. CHT

Interesting boolidesigner. Can you post any pics or drawings that show that certain shape and thickness? Look over on CastBoolits in the active group buys under any of the 45 2.1 GB threads. It varies with caliber and what cartridge/velocity potential it has.

I have the Mihia 220 gr mold for a .41-- I used the normal HP pin and at 12 BNH going 1600 out of my .410 5.5"Redhawk shot a young doe(100 lbs?) at 50 yards-- behind the left shoulder-- went through a rib, top of left lung tearing up the top- back through the chest cavity--top of the intestines. into the right ham and stopped-- it weighed 132 gr as found and 208 gr before-- it expanded and shed the HP down to the top of the lube grove--I did notch the nose of the bullet which likely was not needed
