As a father of 2 grown boys this story and pictures made me smile from ear to ear. Zeus you are obviously doing a fine job being a father!

6.5 JDJ good caliber and and great shooting by your son "Gabriel". Looks like he was taught well, and I am sure there is many more to follow. Hunts and trophies. You are very fortunate to have a son as a hunting partner. Enjoyed the pics and the story.

That is just awesome. You didnt just bring a smile to my face...it started to leak a little too. That is one lucky kid. I hope someday he takes you out hunting when you are old and creaky and need a little help and tells you how much it meant to him. Just awesome

As I opened this thread,,, I was smiling. I recall a few years back,, how you were devoted to making sure your son had the opportunity to get into shooting & hunting. I knew it was a matter of time before we'd read of this type of adventure. Now that it's happened,,, I see a lot more in the future. It's almost perfect,,,, but maybe his mom's looks will prevail.

Hahahahaha. We are hoping he grows out of his dad's looks! But......I'm still waiting for that to happen for me too!

I'm sure we are going to read about many more success stories about Gabriel over the next several years. His dad isn't going to get very far away when the guns come out of the safe. He's beeing raised right for sure, great job buddy!

Excellent! Posts like this give me hope for the future! Spending time in the woods with your son and guiding him to his first hog kill is nothing short of special! Congratulations to the both of you -- you must be very proud!

This is a reap what you sow, kinda thing. Keep up the great work and it'll get better. Well, except for the girls/cars era. Fingers crossed for ya when he gets there.

Congrats to both you and Gabriel. I'm sure we will be reading about is exploits long after his doddering old dad is too ancient to walk the fields with him. Great job Glenn and keep us all posted on your future hunts together. I hope there are a bunch.

Fantastic Glenn! Congratulations again to you and to Gabriel! The seed has been firmly planted for certain...I look forward to sharing camp with you and the boy one day When you sent the pics and the grin on the tactical munchkin's face after shooting the Chameleon, it was the first time I haven't regretted letting the one go...
