So how would you prove the Second degree of kindred? I could say anyone was a step-brother/brother-in-law but I suspect it takes more than my and their word to make it legal. My cousin was going to school in Fairbanks for a while with the full intention of gaining Alaskan residency and hunting sheep, even bought the NULA rifle, before he decided that Fairbanks wasnt for him. I knew his being a first cousin wouldnt have been enough to be able to go for sheep with him though, we had talked through it a couple of times...

Ok but I could buddy up with any Alaskan resident and if asked by a wildlife officer and say they are a Brother-in-law or whatever that I am hunting with. The questions is how do you prove the Alaskan resident I am hunting with is a direct relative.

Good question but I'm sure the Trooper would tell you how to prove it and if you couldn't it'd be costly for both parties.

Believe you have to prove it when buying the tag. Much easier to fly to Russia and adopt an 18 year old girl. Then fly in to Anchorage and marry her off to the first lonely guy you run into.Give hunting trip as wedding present.Fly home with trophy and new family pics.

Also if caught with new buddy to be non related your new buddy could lose all his gear used in the field plus loss of hunting rights for many years. And yes your gear is also gone and welcome mat taken away.
