There were 300 made...119 of the 4 5/8" and 181 of the 6.5". After I bought mine I called Williams and one of the CS reps got me the numbers... One of the rarer Ruger SAs made....

I thought I remember reading something about going long with the .41 and a Glock, but I thought it was a 10mm?

Have been using the Cast Performance 255 WFN-GC with 22.0 grains of H110...velocity is in the 1400 fps area. Once I run out of that boolit I have a 300 grain Mountain Mold and a couple of 250s to experiment with.
Did some trading with Kelly Broast who started CP many years ago and ended up with almost 1000 of those boolits...only have about 150 rounds of loaded ammo left.

1260 fps I think...a picture of the gun and load is over on the thread about shooting 100 yards groups with iron sights...

stainless 5.5" bisley accusport with bowen rear sight and some real nice grips--don't know if they are claro or English walnut

Most likely black walnut. They were the final pair of "fancy walnut" sold by Lett grips, according to their customer service when I bought 'em.
I hope you enjoy the revolver and look forward to after action reports!

NICE!!That is a great first .41 and one of the few I have never owned... Back in 2000 I wanted a 5.5" stainless Bisley and ended up having Gary Reeder build the one above. I like his modified Bisley grip a little more than the original as it rolls a little more in the hand. A few years later Ruger had your gun as a limited edition...
Enjoy...Bob

No casting yet for me, although I socked away a few hundred pounds of lead. Molds for other calibers, none for this one yet. I was checking Todd's and Leadhead's lists today.
My pinky fits down the bore of the BFR. Wow!
Spent the whole day up at the Y camp in Coggon with my family. Beautiful day, wonderful Dance Marathon people there, right on the river, leaves are starting to drop, and all I'm thinking about is firing that big boomer. Typical!
I may have some factory loaded ammo for the .41 stashed away offsite. I'll check this week to see what I can come up with.
