All parts seem cross-compatible with other models, save for the hammer which is significantly shorter. Is there a Bisley style hammer that will fit the Single-Six .22?

they did make a Bisley hammer for the single six. both in blued and stainless but they are pretty hard to find and usually pretty expensive. when I was looking for one for my single seven I posted some WTB adds here and on the Ruger forum and did get some interest. just make sure the person your buying it from doesn't sell you a large frame hammer by mistake.

If anyone reading this knows of the whereabouts of a SS Bisley hammer for a Single-Six .22LR, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

The Bialey hammer for large frame guns can be altered to fit and function in the Single-Six platform

Perhaps the .22 frame is shorter than the centerfire Single-six's...?

I'm pretty sure have one of the SS Power Custom bisley hammers that is made for the Single Six with a regular plow grip frame.
I sold several of them a couple months ago on the RF.
PM me if you're interested and I'll double check.

Ok this sucks ! tried ti upload pic but got the exceeded capacity warning, at any rate while the hammer must be shortened its no where near a 1/4 inch and doesn't put it down parallel with the low point os the saddle or affect any structural integrity. the changes are minor and have done this converting a birdhead .32 mag to a bisley few years vago for a friend. I only have on photo, got the alarm error crapola. I keep hoping I may talk his widow out of it and a K-22 that i sold him. the original plan was to later add a S&W rear sight to the vaquero style frame and replace the factory simulated ivory with holly

Yes stainless, the "K" at the beginning of the P/N indicates stainless. I don't think Ruger sells blued hammers any longer.

I just realized that the part number I gave is incorrect - the correct p/n is KBR-04000B

Well, I've learned alot since first post....I'm leery of declaring success and jinxing it, but after 7 or 8 attempts it appears I have successfully located some stock at Ruger. (Apparently, having the correct part number is no guarantee of success)! For what it's worth, I spoke with "Heather" this time, and she has one enroute to me. Am looking forward to seeing what actually arrives in the mail! Original part number according to the manual was BR04000B. We ultimately located parts under # KBRO4000B....(and I believe she said there were about 100 in stock). Why it took so many attempts and why so many customer service parts reps adamantly insisted that they did not exist is perplexing. Glad I didn't give up easily.
Thanks for all the offers, advice and info.

Do you need a bisley trigger to work with them?

Do you need a bisley trigger to work with them? I prefer the straighter shape of the single-six trigger, and already have a couple on hand to work with. The only down side is it doesn't fill the forward portion of the extra long slot in the Bisley grip frame, but I can live with that.
