Yes they are VZ grips. I got what they call the tactical slant. They aren't as aggressive as their other patterns. I like them much better than the factory grips.

What is it that you like better than stock? Thinner? Looks? Grip? All of the above?

The grip is much better to me than the plastic grips. A more aggressive texture. They aren't thinner than stock grips. And I like how they look on the gun.

Ordered some Wilson/VZ Ultra Thin Grips today and installed them on my 92 FS along with a 14lb Wilson hammer spring. The grips are noticeably slimmer than the factory plastic and feel very good to my medium sized hands. In a perfect world, the palm swell could have come up a little higher. As you can see in the pic, the palm swell is very low on the grip. The reach to the trigger is quite comfortable for me, although I must say it wasn't bad with the factory grips, but these are indeed an improvement. Can't imagine anyone could make grips any thinner. Overall, I'm pleased. The 14 lb hammer spring is also an improvement over the stock unit. This particular FS has been very smooth with a bit of stacking at the end of the trigger travel from day one. I'd say with the new spring it's comparable to a reasonably good revolver trigger with a bit of stacking at the end of the pull still. As to if it's going to be reliable, I'm somewhat optimistic. I initially wanted a 16 lb spring but Wilson showed them out of stock when I ordered my grips so I figured I'd experiment with the 14lb'er. I don't reload for 9mm but I was able to poke out the primers on a few empty brass cases I had kicking around, and seated a few CCI and Remington small pistol primers to see if they would light. No problem with those in either single or double action. Then I tried a few Winchester Small Pistol Magnum primers, and found those to be too hard to light on the first strike. They all lit on the second strike though (keep in mind these were pressed in by hand.) The standard primers all had nice solid dents from the firing pin. Hopefully I'll get it to the range tomorrow night and see how it does with live ammo. Here's a couple of pics of the grips.

Looks good Savit. Mine is going to Wilson for their battle sight package and to convert to the G configuration.
